Mikaela Bennett, celebrated for her artistic versatility and commanding stage presence, joins forces with the groundbreaking Metropolis Ensemble in a program that explores the full expressive range of the human voice across genres. The program features the world premiere of I Live In the Woods, a new song cycle by American composer Molly Joyce, whose work uniquely draws on her lived experience of disability as a powerful creative source.

Canadian soprano Mikaela Bennett has starred as Maria in West Side Story at the BBC Proms, premiered works by Michael Tilson Thomas with the San Francisco Symphony, and sung Wayne Shorter with Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Now for her ECM debut, an intimate evening with members of Metropolis Ensemble that captures everything she does best: new song-cycle by Molly Joyce titled I Live in the Woods, alongside Broadway gems and jazz standards from Arlen, Kern, and the Great American Songbook.
